Foreign students that are supposed to stay no longer than one year (such as Erasmus students) are stacked together in the same place, with very few contacts to German students. It is however convenient; it gives you time in order to look for further accommodation possibilities

Check out Munich, the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität or the TU München. Student housing at the Studentenstadt Freimann is what you're really looking for in Germany (I meant Bavaria of course).
