Very difficult at first to communicate with other German students. They don't speak any slower for you and use slang. University German teaches you literature language and not the real world German.

The best cafes are downtown but the clubs are not that good. They play completely random music that I couldn't really dance to. Jolly Joker is very popular but I didn't like it.

in the dorm nearly everybody speaks english, at the uni some people speak english, and in the town people hardly speak any english so sometimes quite difficult to get by
