There is a bus system available, but in my opinion a bike would be necessary to come around in College Station. If you don't want to fly from Houston to College Station, there are different Airportshuttles, which you can use and which are maybe cheaper. I had a wonderful time in College Station and would go back immediatley, if I had the possibility.

As any university of this size there will always be problems because it's impossible to please everyone. Other than that Texas A&M is an excellent institution with tons of history and tradition.

To live somewhere close to campus and possibly Northgate because public transportation isn't really good and one realies heavily on friends.

It is not necessary to book a flight directly to College Station. There is a shuttle service from Housto´n IAH to College Station that is available for 25$ under www.groundshuttle.com

Housing
Type of housing: Apartment/House

If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why?

I think it would have been really convenient to live on campus too because you are close to everything. As I said I liked my apartment complex and its location.

they lack sufficient cultural/social activities that are unrelated to sports. The parking/transportation system is not very effective. The human resources office for working students (especially international) are not very helpful.

Overall, it's a good university, just a step away from excellence, mainly for poor administrative factors that make somethings difficult to enjoy.

Engineering, 2019
Overall
Texas A&M University is basically a city where students and faculty live at. Our University is one of the strongest Engineering Universities. I currently pursuing Industrial Engineering degree with great people studying with me. Also, professors I have are great people too. A lot of them professors of practice, so we get a chance to practice out knowledge on real-world problems and gain our professors' experience.
