Many courses were designed to fail students and often we were graded on exams with very different, interdisciplinary material from that which was presented in class. If you want the ultimate cognitive test, look no further. Most teachers very friendly, some are just shy. Abandon all sleep ye who enter here.
The teachers are the best part: they hold everything together. Each professor is accomplished in their own field and presents challenging material and a large volume of work per semester. They will assign homework like you don't have any other homework. If you can get an A in the class, then you have a demonstrated teachable mastery of the topic.
The campus is beautiful, red brick which perfectly complements the shade of the grass. The town is nice and the restaurants are great if you can afford them. Much nature in and around the campus for outdoor activities and relatively safe with little crime.
Student life is as good or as bad as you make it. One must make an effort to be social as it is a small school, but that presents the greatest opportunity for earning leadership positions in campus organizations. I became a magazine co-editor, club president, fraternity president, and ran an electroencephalograph experiment on my peers using binaural beats for my capstone study in that order.
The career office was just opened in its own building and very capable when I visited for the resume help I needed. They also had rental suits, interview conference rooms, and many other services depending on student needs which have probably expanded tremendously since then.
