I wish I had known...
I wish I had known more about other ethnic cultures so I could have been more sensitive to other cultures that were different from my own in our student body.. I also wished I had known about the lack of cultural sensitivity in the local community. I felt very comfortable within my school´s international student environment but outside of the school(in the local community), I felt very awkward and uncomfortable. It was as if no one had met an Asian before seeing me. Furthermore, it would have been helpful to know more about the weather conditions before arriving.

Personal recommendation
I strongly recommend this school to other students who are looking for an international MBA degree because it is truly international. I had to learn another language apart from English and Chinese in order to graduate, thus I am equipped to enter a challenging workforce with no only business schools but also fluent in another language. That is truly exceptional.

Final comments
Try to get as much information about the school from current students in that school. Either email them or call them and get their advice about the school, its culture, atmosphere and work placement records. The school advertising brochures will tell you all the wonderful things but not the bad things. Always talk to 2 or more students about their experience so you can best judge for yourself. Good luck and enjoy your experience at Thunderbird. I did and left with some great friendships and an exceptional job.

Be careful with the sun here, the UVA index is high and Arizona is one of the States with higher skin cancer rates.

It is pretty cool. You can choose between different types of rooms (from dorms shared with three more students to dorms shared with only one student, double/single bed...)

Thursday's nights at the pub (on campus). It's just great to relax there with all your friends. Then, an hour far from the University you have Tempe and Scottsdale, where you can find a lot of night clubs.

After 7 months in the States, I think I can manage the language pretty well. It is easy to improve when you are speaking English the whole day (in class and with your friends)

Personal spending habits
Because you have to pay for the accomodation here, while at home you do not have to pay. The food is more expensive in the States and nightlife is also more expensive. Travel expenses depend on what you do. I spent more in the States because you want to see more things while you are here.
