If you want to eat vegetables and fruit, food is very expensive but the canteen are very cheep! Some friends used to eat once per day at 4 p.m.....they saved a lot! About nightlife, depending on what you want to do...for example, the disco's entrance are for free but a beer in a pub is like in Italy, maybe a bit less in this period!

You are lucky if you get a room close to the university otherwise the others buildings are faraway from the center but anyway the positeve aspects are more than the negative ones. It's a real way to understand the Finnish culture and meet a lot of people!

The school is very good provided you don't take courses with lots of work that don't have equivalent at your home university. It's just not worth.

Live in Student Village. Buy yourself a bike (I still have mine to sell). Learn basics of Finnish. Take International Mangement course. Play business games (on some courses). Have fun :)!

Personal spending habits
In general, Finland is more expensive than Spain, so I spend more money in the food, public transport, and so on, but i don't spend money in the nightlife because I don't usually go out in the nigths. On the contrary I spend a lot of money travelling, i want to know a lot of countries and the most important finnish places as well.

I am very happy of the choice I did. I have always been interested in Scandinavian countries and this was definitely a good experience to get to know it better.
