Housing
Type of housing: Apartment/House
Arranged by: Independently - My choice
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why?
I am 26 years old now and I have stayed 5 years in different student homes sharing kitchen and other facilities with many people. Now I prefer to live by my self or with a few people I know.

I do not understand this question but if it is to write about on campus accomodation I got the feeling it was for younger people. UNITEC did not reccomend me to stay on campus because of my age, something I took in consideration when looking for a place to stay.

Overall
I wish I had known...
In my opinion:
Most people loved it.
Important factors in my choice
(1) Unimportant – (4) Very important
Personal recommendation
Be prepared, if you choose to study performing and scren arts, to be on campus from 08.30 till 16.30 everyday!!! This was strange for me because I am used to a much more relaxed study culture at my home college! The teachers did not really care much if we shoved up or not! But after getting used to it it was nice and I felt that i learned more from it. And it was easier to get used to the "real life" i.e work life!

Academic
Course recommendations
My course, Performing and screen arts - Film & TV, was only two years old when I started and had some start problems concerning teachers, what to do and how to do it. A litle bit unorganised. But it seem like the school understood this and I got the feeling this year will be different. There are plenty of courses to choose from, and if people are interested in art I will reccomend Film & TV, dance, acting, photography and design.

Norway is a very expensive country to live in. New Zealand the opposite, very cheap! Thats the only reason! But if you look at the amounts of food or thngs I spent money on I think I bought more in New Zealand!

Personal comments
I knew New Zealand was an inexpensive country to live in and I thought the money I got from the norwegian government was enough for my stay. But I stayed longer as planned and I definitly spent more money than expected... Even if it is cheap - expect to use lots of money, especially because of travelling, going to New Zealand. It is a perfect country to travel in and the most beautiful country in the world. (except for Norway...)
