Go to the viaduct!! Of course you will cause thats aucklands meet market hehe, try the kebabs at mount albert, and there's a nice bar at the end of the sky tower street up the hill, don't remember the name but nice live music

Pourquoi?

As an international student I wanted to meet lots of people from all over, at the village the most of the students there are international so you can get to know a lot of people

It was great really, and the best thing if you like to meet people because students come each semester so pretty much everyone is new and want the same, to know more people. The most friends you can make are in the village don't expect much from classes, everyone have their own lives and very few ae interested in making friends with people that will be gone shortly

Stay at campus if you like to meet people, do your stuff at school cause teachers can get grumpy, and enjoy it

new zealands landscapes are inspiring, while the cities are rather boring so avoid visiting cities for too long and try to be in the nature, is soooo green everywhere

Don't let yourself be tricked with the unitec courses description, they are for my experience a lot more easier than they say they are. I did industrial design and took some web design courses, they would ask me to have a "proper" training with the software and said the course was challenging, and it turned up to be just basic stuff so be careful and don't be afraid to take "difficult" courses (level 7) the same applies with the number of courses, they will take you to take 4 I did 5 and had no problem at all, and still got a lot of party going hehe

Its just english so you'll be fine, new zealanders do have a special accent and funny words but everything is easy to get mate, oh but be careful hen talking to maori people you will will have to put extra attention that accent is really something eh can take you a while to be confortable with it
