In my opinion:
I loved it but I'm not sure everybody would.
Important factors in my choice
(1) Unimportant – (4) Very important
Personal recommendation
Keep on working hard by accpeting good students into the university and maybe a better dispossal of some teachers to deal with international students.

Became familiar with another culture
Met people from other countries
Experienced a change in life
Advanced my studies & career
Final comments
Come completely open minded and do not expect to have same lifestyle you had at home, otherwise you'll feel very frustrated fist time you have to do you own laundry jeje.
Prepare yourself to a huge challenge and try to enjoy the city, and take it the first month as an adventure and you'll have fun!

carlos III de madrid enjoys very good reputation in spain. erasmus student's are treated the same way as spanish students (no extra points in exams or easier exams). who entends to enjoy a very relaxed term should go for another university

madrid and the carlos III where a great experience for me. I loved the city and really enjoyed my stay here. I could greatly improve my spanish (also due to the studies I had to do in order to take the exams).
Amazing term!

How difficult it really is to find a good room in a shared flat when you don't speak much Spanish in the beginning.

Travel Tips: The north of Spain in the summer. The south is better to visit at easter. Around Madrid for daily trips: don't miss Segovia, Salamanca, Toledo,...
Advice: Always take care of your personal stuff (credit card, money, phone) when your going out. There are loads of pickpockets in the center.

I wish I had known...
The climate in Madrid was quite surprising. Summer didn't start before June and until that time it was freezingly cold. But when summer finally started I would have prefered the cold weather... you can't stand that heat!! Should have taken with me more cloth for winter-weather, however.

Try out everything, travel a lot, Spain is great!, enjoy the food (and the food prices on the market, especially for fish and seafruits!), enjoy the nightlife and don't get stressed from the crowds of people on the streets..

great university; close to madrid, nice helpful people. level is ok and if you want to learn spanish you should go here, although lots of erasmus don't realise that; prefer to spend time with other erasmus....

great city, nice people, good level of education and of course lots of stuff to do.
in short: if you feel attracted to spain and spanish stuff, you should come to madrid.
