Universidad Iberoamericana Ciudad de México perspective rating
María S
Spain,
Psychology and Behavioural Sciences, 2023
Overall
Universidad Iberoamericana is widely recognized in Mexico. It is a Jesuit institute which offers a variety of careers and degrees.

It is best qualified in humanities area, where careers such as psychology, literature, nursery, law, entertainment, business, architecture, and international relations develop. It has a broad campus, certified teachers, sport teams and internship programs.

As a student in psychology my experience was rich and inspiring. Professors in my career are specialized in different branches which give us students an advantage by experiencing technique and knowledge in different sectors. Classes are dynamic and practical, teachers generate dialogue with students by questioning different terms, incite creativity and they make us prepare and debate topics. The University  provides a variety of congresses and lectures, where experienced people talk about their vocation and drive, these events motivate generations for research and exposing their own ideas.

Careers
Regarding the disadvantages, the psychology department does not meet the students’ requirements, it is rather distant, consequently students have problems with schedules and course opening information. The University offers international internship programs, nevertheless I would say it is an area of improvement. There is a lack of advice and communication for students. It is a vast process for applying and they have just a few places depending on which country you choose. Similarly in the scholarship scheme there is hardly any or no opportunities of getting one, even if you are a good athlete, you lack economic resources or have excellent grades.

If you are looking forward to study any career or degree in the humanity area, I highly recommend Universidad Iberoamericana it all depends on what applies to you and which aspects you value the most.

Una universidad con calidad humana

Overall

Learning from a humanistic vision & real cases

Communication and Information Sciences, 2018
Overall
During my mass media and communications career, teachers focused more on practice than theory. We learned with real cases and clients. For example, when it was about making articles, we had to send them to important magazines. My final thesis was to present real marketing strategies to companies such as volt, iams and pf changs.
Also the community experience was awesome. I made lots of friends, relationships that will remain for a lifetime

The University was founded in 1943 by the Jesuits with a School of Philosophy and Literature. It was chartered in 1954 as the Universidad Iberoamericana, A.C. The University moved to its modern new campus in the Santa Fe area of Mexico City in 1988. The University system, structured into departments, allows for interdisciplinary study in the following areas: Art, Sciences, Religious Sciences, Political and Social Sciences, Economy, Philosophy, History and Literature (Disciplinary studies); Business Administration, Accounting, Architecture, Urban Studies and Design, Communication, Law, Education and Human Development, International Studies, Engineering, Psychology and Health (Profesional Studies).
For students interested in American affairs, studying in a Latin American country has no substitute. For students interested in their Mexican heritage it is an incomparable opportunity.
The Universidad Iberoamericana is fortunate to be located in Mexico City, with magnificent examples of the remains of the great Aztec Empire, the splendor of the colonial period and the amazing cosmopolitan vitality of modern Mexico. The exciting metropolis remains unchallenged in its educational and cultural facilities. A source of national pride, modern museums of art, anthropology, history and archeology present the glories of Mexico's past. A wide variety of shops, restaurants and recreational areas are conveniently situated in and around the city.
Mexico City is the gateway to the most beautiful Pacific, Gulf and Caribbean beaches as well as to many interesting archeological sites and colonial cities. Approximately 2,280 meters (7,500 feet) above sea level, the city has a temperate climate with cool nights and early mornings During the summer months there is daily rain.
