The university offered a Spanish course for all international students in the first semester. This, combined with the Spanish lectures at law school, helped me improve my Spanish language knowledge tremendously.

In the beginning sometimes a bit hard to understand the local language, slang... it´s important to communicate with people everyday as often as possible

I learned how to communicate myself in almost all situations. However, When speaking a second language there will always be difficulties with new words and situations that don't happen regularly.

Sometimes hard to cope with daily expresions as the spaniards are not used to explain in diffrent language and hardly anybody speaks english.

I picked up the language quite well, thanks to classes and social life. The hardest thing is to keep speaking spanish now, back at home!
