At times was rather difficult to communicate with some lecturers. I would recommend the intensive language courses that are on offer at the start of, and throughout your stay.

Si lo hubiera sabido...
I was unaware of the free intensive language course for Erasmus students. I would recommend evryone to take part in this as the people that went on this course tended to grasp the language much quicker.

I found that the university was a very friendly place and though at first a little daunting, it was very enjoyable, there were numerous trips and activities taking place and the fiestas were amazing.

I did not travel as much as i would have liked but i would certainly recommend the 'Fallas' in Valencia, Alhambra in Granada. Barcelona and Madrid are also must see cities and especially with bus and train tickets being relatively inexpensive.
A trick i used when travelling to and from Spain was to load any heavy items into seperate hand luggage and give it to friends or family while i checked in, thus avoiding any excess baggage charges.

I enjoyed the atmosphere at Mundaka Lounge it was very chilled out during the day and came to life at night. Also Badulake and La Calle centro were great on a wednesday night i.e CERVEZA GRATIS, two of my favourite spanish words.
