Grado en biología
anonymous
Spain, Undergraduate
Biology, 2020
Overall

I spent more in Sevilla because everyone is always going out. One goes out usually every night and spends money on food, drinks, etc.

Personal comments
Though I spent a lot of money, I did not go over my budget. I would advise to plan a budget and stick to it. Eat at home and then go out so you won`t feel pressed to buy food.

Housing
Type of housing: With a family
Arranged by: Independently - My choice
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why?
I really enjoyed living with a host family, but the next time studying or living abroad I would like to share an apartment/house with people who are the same age as myself.

It was a wonderful experience living with a host family during my stay in Spain. I was able to be immersed in the culture of Spain.

Un poco decepcionada

Overall

You absolutely MUST travel while you're there!!! Go for the whole year, and during the winter break, travel through Europe. On weekends, you HAVE to go to Portugal and Morocco! I don't know if it's still there, but B-60 was a fun place for drinking and dancing. Just in general, be ready for a lot of late nights of having fun!!! Don't drink too much, though, because it's just not very classy there.

Keep track of your money. Use your ATM to take out money or open a Spanish account. US Dollars go much further than Spanish Pesetas. Don't use travelers checks. Many places don't except them.
