take classes for foreigners and classes with spaniards. it makes all the difference to have them both and stay the whole year. its not worth it to stay one semester

this system is set up so that people pick a track and stay in it. it works for what its goals are.
The Spanish grade a lot differently than what I was used too. They are harder because the grading isn't a day to day thing because it is pretty much your final test that determines your grade.

Because friends with your teachers and go to class!!
Make sure you do some studying in addition to having fun. I think that most of what I learned was outside of the classroom, but the grades you get might count into your GPA. In any case, they'll show on your transcript.

All the classes that i took were specifically for american students. They were all good classes but i think it would have been a much better experience had i taken regular university classes with spanish students.
