All classes were conducted in Spanish in my host university. I also lived with a family that spoke no English, and hung out with many Spanish people, so I picked up the language pretty fast.

Sevilla was a difficult place to learn Spanish at first because of the accent, but after a number of months of interacting with locals and other international students it became easier.

Found it difficult to understand at first as they speak very quickly, yet after a few weeks I was able to adjust and understand better

I'm a native spanish speaker, but the spanish accent from andalucia was a little difficult to understand. the regional dialect is very different from say, madrid or Barcelona.

At the begining was terrible...everyone spoke slang so i had difficulties even in finding a house...now i can read articles from the economic pages and south american books
