Try to learn a few portuguese phrases before you go, travel is quite cheap so when you have free time (and you should have a lot of it) explore Portugal, it's a beautiful country.

Overall
The school is very helpfull and has a good reputation. Once you complete the course it is easy to find a job and they have a lot of tools that facilitate job search.
The education is good and it covers both the theoretical and pratical parts of engeneering during all 5 years.

They only offer more standard careers paths and so, if you want a different choice you have to look for it yourself.

Internship At the U of Porto I did my master's studies, so they didn't do internships; On the other hand, the university where I finished my profession as a sports teacher, did offer the opportunity to do an internship.

“The scenario of the University”

Overall
The university is one of the best in the country, it has great faculties with great professionals that truly prepare us for the future of our careers, that make us work really hard to achieve our results. But unfortunately the university doesn't provide the students with housing and the scenario of room renting is a nightmare since rents are extremely high for a student or a family with a normal household income to afford.
