I learn the local language (Italian) for all situations. The possibility to learn both at university and together with the family whom I lived with, made a very good combination.

I am now trilingual, but only thankyou to keeping well in company of Italian students, and avoiding my native language. I also made sure i spoke Italian after my Erasmus year.

I found that my backround in Spanish helped me advance quickly and that the key to learning is confidence, taking risk and discipline.
