Housing
Type of housing: Apartment/House
Arranged by: Independently - My choice
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why?
I have been used to an independent way of living. By living in a flat share one preserves one's independence, while staying in close contact with fellow students. ATTENTION: For students travelling from the UK, it might come as a surprise that the majority of flats in Germany are only available unfurnished.

Languages
Language of instruction: German
Was learning German a key decision factor?
Yes, I wanted to improve my German

Language difficulties
Administrative / Institutional
Personal comments
My overall experience was great. I learned so much and gained the confidence to approach any situation. I learned most from associating with friends and colleagues at the university. I passed the German DSH certification examination during my stay with an abover average result. Hannover is an ideal place to learn German because beautiful Hochdeutsch is spoken there.
