I have been used to an independent way of living. By living in a flat share one preserves one's independence, while staying in close contact with fellow students. ATTENTION: For students travelling from the UK, it might come as a surprise that the majority of flats in Germany are only available unfurnished.

The student flats were populated by international European students. This created a an international atmosphere and great networking opportunities.

The rooms at the Calinstrasse flats were great. They had enough space and had broadband internet. They are located in a central area in Hanover and is very close to the metro train.

I would like to live together with friends, have a clean kitchen and bathroom for my own. Besides I think it is easier to learn a foreign language if you life together with native people.

I think they could do more to help exchange students. I felt that i could have become more information about this issue. They let me know one week before flying there that i had no dormitory room.
