Transportation is pretty expensive compared to Greece. Buy a bicycle - everybody uses one and they are not expensive to buy, especially a second-hand.

The uni organises loads of ERASMUS events which are all great fun and a brilliant way to meet people. The old town is good for bars and little cafes, and the irish pub down maria-theresen strasse has a good pub quiz.

It was really important for me to be on a german course for Erasmus, don't miss it. Even if you don't pass on the 1st exam, in which they choose who can stay there learning, you can try to ask to let you be there. It's for free so don't give up. Also important is to be with other erasmus students, there are some who already have a very good knowledge of the language and they speak "hoch deutsch" that means that they speak the german you learn in school, not dialect, and they speak also slower..always important for someone that isn't native speaking:)Never speak in english...you need to improve your german.

Course recommendations
Mr. Stocker and Mr. Pircher were very understanding and had a good communication with them, although their classes were not very easy. Professor Hinterhuber is extremely boring to attend his classes.
