Most of the exchange students lived in student residences. These varied very much. So I'll recommend Am Steingarten or Carl Zuckmayer Strasse. Better connection to city all night, and close to park and swimmingpool.

I like my living situation, and after seeing the other student housing units, I would take my studio in a heartbeat.

I'm not too sure how the housing system works since I received considerable help from my host counselor. Overall, I believe it is very difficult to find good housing in Mannheim.
