University city
Marta S
Germany, Graduate

Overall
Here in Siegen there is a perfect univerity life, the city is full of pubs and gardens where to sit with colleagues and enjoy the time together. The university is centered in the city and the bigger campus is not so far from it. The professors are all very helpfull with all the questions you may have, and some of them are also happy to help with official document for the city hall.
There are many courses offered and mine in particular I think it's totally fine. It's an international course, so the master is completely held in English, and there are many people all over the world.

Interesting Course but limited Job opportunity

Overall
I studied language and communication at the University of Siegen and was overall happy with the course and the Professors.
Although in my particular degree I would have wished for a more market orientated course structure. It was all kept very broad which on the one hand is wanted and helpful if you are yet unsure which career path or masters degree you want to choose but on the other hand it can get frustrating because you basically can't do much with your degree if you decide to look for a job.
The Lecturers and Professors were good and you could always reach out to them if you had questions. The university is currently renovating all its buildings at the main campus which is the AR.
Although, there were some practical courses for example on intercultural communication or text production and presentation skills which I found very good and which teached me a lot of valuable skills. Overall I would not reccommend taking this course unless you know exactly what you want to do with it ar are willing to do a masters degree in linguistics or any relared field.
