Need to arrange for someone to pick me up from the airport. Taking the taxi to UCL was very expensive!

Final comments

Belgium is at the heart of Europe so it was easy to travel a lot. Everyone travels on the weekend because LLN is a dead city on the weekends. Just prepare to have lots of adventures that you'll remember for a lifetime!

It's a great university to attend courses with truly knowledgeable professors. The faculty and staff are willing to provide assistance. I recommend at least a semester of study there.

Final comments

Don't take more than you can carry yourself. Open a bank account in Louvain-la-Neuve. Carefully read your état des lieux is correct. If repairs need to be made in your room or kot, inform your agency and stay on them if they don't make the repairs quickly.

A student city, great to live here. But the level is higher for the bachelor than master.

If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House

Why?

Because the standard of living is much more better in a private appartement then in one of the "kots" as provided by the UCL

If you would like to benefit of a cheap accomodation you should adress yourself as soon as possible to the Service de Logement of the UCL. At least 6 or 7 months in advance, otherwise it will be diffucult to find a cheap accomodation;
