Not knowing french can be really annoying in a place like this. But the interation with local students, professors eases allot the learning of french. So in a couple of months the language left to be a problem.

It would be better to choose courses in the local language to benefit from synergies; however the challenge of mixing languages is also enriching as long as a (local) language course is pursued additionally.

I gained knowledge of environmental vocabulary in the areas of the courses that I took. I improved as well my general knowlegde of english language because of international student environment.

I took a course in French language which is normally reserved to Belgian students who ae in their last semester. This course was a great experience from the language point of view. Apart from that a spoke French a lot as was living together with people from Belgium and France.

I knew pretty well french before and I improved technical and business language skills. I followed some course in english and that helps me to improve my skills

A good advice is to get to know a lot of belgian people; Do not stick with all the Erasmus people, try to improve your language by speaking with the Belgians.
