Housing
Type of housing: in a residence
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why?
Because I now know that it's not impossible to find a nice appartement in the city (lyon) which doesn't cost a fortune, and I'd really love to have more space, especially a seperate room for my kitchen(ette)!

Personal comments
The room is quite small, but it's ok. Once you get to know some people in the residence it's lovely, because you can join them but retourn to your privacy whenever you want. Beside that, it's not too easy to get to know people here (everybody having his own studio). It's disappointing that the electricity cost is not included in the rent, which is already quite high. Aditionally, you have to care yourself about telefon-line and internet, or TV. This costs are extra, as well. But generally, there are residences which are worse, and better as well, naturally; but "ca va", it's possible to live here ;).

I really liked my room and the privacy I had. The only bad thing was that I could always here the bar next door and that the rent was very high (233 euro per month + elecktricity)

Personal spending habits
I spend more money because at home I still lived with my mom so I do not have to pay for housing, not much for food, for travel I have a discount card from the government. And I think in overall life the things are a little bit more expensive here.
