It was really good. Every student had his own room and we had 2 kitchens on the floor. It is a great place to live when you are learning foreign language.

Personal spending habits
Because Lyon is a very large city and therefore expensive. At home I live in a village and go to university in a town of 15,000 so do not usually have to pay as much for basic amenities as I do in Lyon.

Beware of the enormous deposit for accommodation that the host university may not inform you about. Mine was €1200 (about £750), and was mentioned in absolutely none of the paperwork that I was sent beforehand.

Ayer's Rock - great music, but sometimes repetitive. Also, check out all the "boat" clubs like Sirius, Marquaise, etc.

Lyon and Jean Moulin 3 is really a good place to stay and to study
However, even if the studies are very professionalising, the school doesn't help you so much to find an internship and doesn't have partners

Pros

No partnership with companies
