Overall

Personal spending habits
Needing a metro pass because I was in a big city, but in general Paris was much cheaper than Oxford. Spent more on telephoning because I had to call back to the UK, but then now I probably spend as much on calls to Europe!

Personal comments
French mobile phones (pay as your go calls) cost a bomb. Get an SFR abonnement for 6 months BUT DON'T FORGET TO CANCEL IT AT LEAST ONE MONTH BEFORE LEAVING. The process is complicated. You have to pay to see the Doctor up front. Can be very expensive. EU students should have an E128 form, you can then claim back 3/4 of costs. Keep the barcodes on any medication prescribed and all documents given by doctors and pharmacists for this purpose.

The best university to study law
Virgile S
France, Graduate
Law, 2020
Overall
The university of Paris II Pathéon-Assas does cover a wide range of fields among law. It has very qualified and recognized teachers, who are both theorists and practitioners. Besides, teachers expect a lot from students, which is not the case in other universities.

The University did not provide housing at all but I strongly recommend people going to Paris to apply to Cite U: www.ciup.fr for more information.
