Housing
Type of housing: On campus
Arranged by: Home university
If returning, I would choose: On campus
Why?
Finding accommodation on your own can be very difficult. On campus, your usually close to the university and it's very cheap.

The rooms are very small (9m²), but cheap as well. Fortunately, my room was in a new building, so everything was new!

Housing
Type of housing: Apartment/House
Arranged by: Independently - My choice
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why?
Because there are many nice appartements around, and you get ec. support from the french government. Besides, the rooms at campus were very small.

At home I couldn't spend money on "nightlife" because I wasn't 21, and international dialing is clearly more expensive than local. I rarely traveled in the US like I did in Europe

University Toulouse 1 is really a very good university since it offers some degree programmes entirely in English. This is a great opportunity, because it provided me to use both my english and my french at the same time.Using english during the courses made a lot of contribution to my academic knowledge. On the other hand, having the opportunity to use French in daily life conversations was a priceless experience to improve my second language.
