Why?
The facilities in campus rooms are very basic, there was no fridge, oven or grill the only cooking facilities were two hot plates, the particular campus I was on was the furthest campus from my university and it was difficult to return home at night, I feel that if I had my own apartment I would have felt more confortable and the French government help students out with rent.

It wasn't completely unpleasent, the rooms were a good size and you had your on own sink, the showers were good and were cleaned everyday, there was internet access on the campus but only at certain times. The real misgiving I have about the rooms were the total lack of kitchen facilities.

OverallL'Université de Caen est une université de taille moyenne, avec un campus qui regroupe divers champs d'études. Les services proposés sont correctes et les professeurs sont en général assez disponibles et pédagogues. En revanche, l'administration n'est pas forcément toujours disponible. Il faut savoir être très autonome et se débrouiller un maximum par soi-même. Certaines activités sont organisées mais cela reste assez faible.

Careers
Dans les filières LEA ( Langues étrangères appliquées), il est obligatoire d'effectuer au moins un stage à l'étranger, et en Master un semestre également. Pour le semestre à l'étranger, c'est plutôt accompagné, bien qu'il faille là aussi se débrouiller par soi-même. Cependant, pour les stages, qui sont obligatoires, il faut chercher par soi-même absolument toutes les modalités. Une réunion est prévue, mais l'étudiant doit se débrouiller pour tout le reste.
