I THINK EVERY STUDENT SHOULD SPEND A SEMESTER OR A YEAR ABROAD. IT WAS VERY ENTERTAINING. I DID NOT FEEL THAT I WAS GOING TO SCHOOL BECAUSE THERE WAS NOT AS MANY TESTS AND QUIZZES AS IN THE US. I WISH I HAD TRAVELED MORE BOTH INSIDE FRANCE AND IN EUROPE. SO BRING A LOT OF MANEY AND HAVE FUN!

Emporium Gallorium, THE place for ERASMUS students, but also O'Callaghans is popular amongst ERASMUS students. Resto: Le Venise Normand has great normand food!! Le Bureau is one of few places open on sundays.

That is really is important that yo bring all the papers that you are informed to bring...and then some! (i.e. several copies extra and contact the University beforehand to find out what is required.)

It is a rather small University and so it is easier to make friend and the sports and clubs are numerous and now (2001) they have a brand new law faculty!

Always make sure to have several copies of all documents, make sure you travel a bit and experience as much as possible while abroad. Take the opportunity to do some networking. Try to make friends with the LOCALS and make an effort to speak the language!

I SPOKE FRENCH BEFORE I WENT TO FRANCE, ALTHOUGH IT WAS NOT THE PROPER FRENCH (A FRENCH THAT HAS BEEN MODIFIED) I HAD NO PROBLEM AT ALL COMMUNICATING WITH THE FRENCH AT ANY LEVEL.
