I would still choose a shared flat, because it's fun, it completes the international student experience, and you possibly get to speak Spanish at home.

I wouldn't recommend using the services of Habitatge Jove (even though universities recommend their services), but rather encourage people to try and find accomodation independently (boards at university), because the rooms Habitatge Jove gives away are rather expensive (poor relation between rent and quality/facilities).

Because even if one can take benefit from living with people one doesn't know, I think it's better to make my own life, with people I will have chosen.

Finding a rent in Barcelona is pretty hard. Moreover when you ask for Internet in the bedroom. The people there is nice, but the flat was far from university and city center.

for independance. It's exciting and interesting know, contact, etc. new people when you are looking for a flat. Oportunity tu share a period of your life with other people (in the flat)

Creo que esta bien dentro de lo que cabe, pero pienso que tambien deberian de tener mas consideracion con el hecho de que son mas de 6 horas de diferencia, con el uso del telefono.
