Because living in a student home, I met lots of people, both other enxchange student and locals. and the other possibilities do not sound any better.

I would have had liked to have more information about the accommodation before coming to Belgium, because it was quite a big surprise (and not so pleasent, even though I got used to it), when I arrived.

The most popular street in Gent: Overport- full of bars, pubs and clubs. Favourite cafe: Vooruit and Dante- nice atmosphere, good service. The most famous event: Gentse Festivaal - u have to be here!

Residences are old; but if you rent a private apartment you have to be carefull with the owners, who get the deposit and never return it to you

The university is fine, the teachers and subjects and everything is great. The cost of things is affordable even on a student budget.
