OverallEmpecé mis estudios académicos a los 49 años. Dejé mi país de origen (Chile) por razones personales: libertad y desarrollo, crecimiento personal. Mis estudios los realicé a tiempo completo y trabajando 21 horas a la semana en el almacén de H&M. Fue muy duro. Días muy largos pero llenos de personales satisfacciones. Los estudios universitarios con muy importantes pues entregan herramientas útiles para toda la vida. Métodos, orden y disciplina. Desarrollan capacidades de investigación y profundizar ideas y problemas. Escritura concisa, etc.

Overall
The University itself seems quite organized and informs very often and on time about recent news. Especially as an international student I always felt welcomed and it is not a problem if you can´t speak Dutch, every employee is very friendly and can switch to English immediately.
Concerning my track Social and Organisational Psychology, I want to say that there is a bigger focus on Social Psychology, which is in my opinion good to know beforehand.

Leiden is famous on its own. They have sincerity towards the reputation of the university and need of the students. They have been contimuously striving to give excellence. So most likely one could keep it in the list when you plan for abroad studies

Final comments
Ask university what is the easy way to carry cash to the host country and about public transportation, living, etc. Otherwise in a new city, one tend to lose a lot in the initial days. Moreover, search for grants because, actaul expenditure always crosses estimated. Also, enquire well on weather and climate if it'lls uit you.

The fact that my degree is based on four areas of studies being cultural studies, history, politics and economics, allowed me to assemble multiple point of views to tackle one complex issue. The majority of the courses are well-structured and in line with my expectations. The campus is in the middle of the city, giving access to a variety of cafés, and tourist spots but also shops and libraries.

The university is very international and therefore the variety in committees and events is large.
Cons
Their online system could be modernized and made more efficient. The feedback provided for assignments vary a lot as well –– the range varies from professor to professor.
