There is an accomodation office in this university that can be very helpful if you arrive a couple of weeks before the academic year starts. Otherwise the best houses are taken and it would be very difficult to find a cheap and good house not so far from the campus.

The office of tourism of Cork can be a good advice for travelling. The UCC international students office organice some trips quite often too.

In cork there are hundreds of pubs, where you can drink the best irish beer (guiness and murph's), listening nice music. I think the best place are in washington street. Just 1 tips: don't go out to late becouse the pub close at midnight,at the most.
