The college system is quite restrictive and treats you like a child, as does the 'welfare team'. The cleaners worked really hard, cleaning rooms once a week and emptying your bins about 3 times a week. Personally, i felt that at the ripe old age of 18, i could probably clean my own room and was uncomfortable about the idea of someone having to clean my stuff - somehow a little elitist? Catered accommodation, so you have to go and line up at a certain time for lunch, breakfast, dinner - grrrr! a little annoying, and the formals are very high on the elitism scale!
