Housing
Type of housing: On campus
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: On campus
Why?
Because of the people you can meet from every part of the UK and from every part of Europe. The campus is a place where the cultural exchange is easy and where you can find better accomodation with all the University facilities

The accomodation at the University of Glasgow is very well provided for people coming for more than 6 months. A period of study of one or more years or a Master are recommended to find the best accomodation, possibly starting from september. The University offers a lot of campus flats and apartaments to be shared among students with all comforts. Life is agreeable and nice, so you can fully enjoy your staying in Glasgow

You can join the University clubs and go out for a night with them. You'll come home stoned! Don't miss the Shack near Pitt street, and the Garage if you like the disco. Plenty of Pubs will assure you a great hangover espacially the Mollymalone: Live music on friday and saturday. Don't forget to go to a football match at Ibrox, or Celtic Park at Parkhead. Travel to the west coast to the isle of Skye or to the far north to the Orkney islands, you'll discover a great landscape. Easy from the Buchannan bus station.

Personal spending habits
Food was provided by a canteen in the accomodation. I used a lot the mobile. Acccomodation was a bit expensive, but food was provided. so it was almost equal. If you use the student opportunities travel is very easy and cheap. The phone expenses were the highest I ever had and so I spent a lot in the overall evaluation.

Personal recommendation
My reccomandation for this University is to go and see waht it is like you will not regret it. If you play sports hard you can find there a huge amount of opportunities to practice your sport even in a high level. Studying is important, but usually students don't like advices on it.

Get a Zone card or a bus card for buses and for the underground. Use your student card as nuch as possible to get reductions and if you don't have one get a SYHA card (Scottish Youth Hostel Assosiation) to have cheap accomodations
