Plan all trips ahead of time, especially where you will be going when you get to your destination, as in: the sites you want to see at your destination, etc. Be friendly with the locals, most of them will love to talk to you in either English (if they know it they will want to practice it) or Chinese.

Actually, life in Beijing is much less expensive than what you are used to. You can go to restaurants and pay less than 5 euros for a fantastic meal. But as everything is so cheap, you spend more than at home (but for more things and outings).

Be aware of your banking system, and make sure it really works in China. The easiest thing to do is to open a bank account in China if you do not have an international card.

The university of international business and economics of beijing is wellknown in china, it provides high education in chinese language. The courses are basic, really similar to what I learned in France. Some teacher are really interesting some are quite borring. The  university is very well located in beijing. Very recommended if you are willing to be emerge in a chinese environnement for 4 or 5 years and becoming fluent in chinese.

I first studied Bachelor of Computer Science at Beijing Insitute of  Technology and now I'm continuing my master of International Trade at the University of International Business and Economics. I had very good and skilled teachers and I enjoyed exploring different cultural diversity. Therefore, I am very eager to start my career in China

Logement
Type de logement: Appartement/maison
Organisé par: Indépenant - choix personnel
Si j'y retournais je choisirais: Appartement/maison
Pourquoi?
Hard to find an apartment when you do not speak Chinese, but when you manage to find one anyway, you pay much less than on the campus and you have more room and facilities.

The apartment I found was in a middle-class district just next to the university. It had a lot of room and was typically chinese, but still accomodating.
