Academic
Course recommendations
I did a Diploma in European Culutres&Languages. So I had one linguistics course (as mentioned in the selections before), a literature, a teaching and a translation course. The courses itself were very basic. If you wnated some depth you did more research for your essays (linguistics). Literature was good. Teaching disappointing in terms of theoretical and didactical knowledge. Translation wasnot appropriate (E-G too easy, G-E too difficult). Better not choose linguistics. Literature courses are usually said to keep high standards and to challenge students

If they offer courses that are focused on international students (as mentioned in their undergraduate prospectus), they should raise the standard to those students level a bit more.

On campus there's only the Lighthouse and the Venue. During the day Mungoe's is nice for a coffe. For proper lunch or dinner Origins is very nice. Downtown I liked Simple Simon's and the Bishopsfinger (near Westgate), Wetherspoon's are always good for cheap but good dinner in a pub. Oh, and we recently got a Starbucks-staff is not too experienced yet and when they prepare you sth wrong you get an extra free drink.

Overall
I have loved my time at the University of Kent, so much so, I am staying to do a Masters degree. Both the campus and staff have been great, and my year abroad in France was fantastic. I would now like to expand my studies in the field of International Relations, and am looking for an internship during the month of August in Paris.

Overall
Coming from a town in North East Greece, i was able to study in another country and learn -apart from academic qualifications- numerous things about other cultures and about life in general. An unforgettable experience, that i cherish in my heart, as long as i live.

The content of studies. I've already studied those topics because there is no real equivalence between Master in France and in UK.
