I didn't explore any work options
Personal spending habits
Rent, food and alcohol were cheaper than in Finland, hence the savings. I travelled quite a lot as travel expenses were lower than travelling from home. From Hull, it's especially easy and cheap to go to Holland. Hull University student travel agency was great!!!

Final comments
It takes time to open up a bank account in England. Make sure you have enough money to cope with the first month. Oh, and you can save a lot in telephone costs if you buy 'international phone cards'.
