Australians are friendly and helpful. Reach out and try to get to know the people around you. I am sure you'll learn alot from them. Actually, I still keep in touch with the friends I have made in Newcastle and Sydney.

Spend as much time in Sydney as possible and also make time to travel up the coast and then to Alice Springs to see "the rock"!

Why?
Campus is kinda far from the beach and the middle of town...We lived a minute walk from the Great Northern, the train station, Newcastle Beach, Nobby's Beach as well as many cafes and stores you could not beat it. Plus East End Party, Party, Party

I did not live on campus so I am not sure how they were. I was inside the dorms twice they are really nice inside but trust me live off-campus preferably in Newcastle, Newcastle East, Mereweather.

The Great Northern Back Bar lived there..With the great bartenders of the GN...Fanny's on Wednesday for many beautiful people.. The Brewery is sweet CBD has great live music on Friday and Saturdays. Scotties Cafe...Do not miss Miss Surfest and the Surfest competition..Do not miss the Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras in Sydney...Do not miss the Blues and Roots Festival in Byron Bay..
