University of Newcastle

I am interested in all of the business parts of the course eg. Economics, accounting and marketing however the agri-business side of things is very boring.
Teaching is overall satisfactory however would like to see more involvement.

My course was Quantitative Finance and Risk Management which was more of the technical side of finance. Perfect for those with very strong numerical abilities wanting to apply these skills into the financial industry. The course was well taught with a variety of resources available for students such as recapped lectures, online notes and further reading material. The lecturers were very approachable and assist as much as they are allowed to. 

The careers service is not bad, there are a lot of services offered to help students practice application processes such as mock interviews and assessment centres. They also review CVs and application answers well. 

The student life is incredible, extremely cheap in Newcastle - can often find housing for £70 a week and the night-life is vibrant and extremely fun. Allows you to have a great balance between studying.

The Business School is well-run and efficient. The staff offer many opportunities for success, and provide several useful services concerning work placements.
