“Don't waste your time and money”
Eric
Canada, Undergraduate
, 2021
Overall
Can't speak to pre-COVID environment, but University of Ottawa is the most disorganized business I have ever encountered. Random fee (tuition, ancillary) increases they cannot/refuse to explain, cannot locate proper staff to sort out residence issues, and, the most significant issue:
First Year Science professors don't give a darn about teaching or (recording in advance) decent lectures. Science at UOttawa has a good reputation due to its research, but the majority of its staff can't teach their way out of a wet sack in a windstorm. Don't waste your time and money with a uOttawa science program. I am considering moving to Queens, UofT, McMaster- anywhere but uOttawa

The uni is bilingual which mean everything is in French and English. Great for ppl wanting to learn some French. But no one language dominates the other so you can get by fine with either or both!

You can't miss the bars by the Market at night... Check out Fathers and Son's, the pub located west of the Law building, equally famous for late night chicken wings and continental breakfasts!
