life in oxford is easy. If you come from Paris, you better take plane than train, (3h30 for plane from gome to home against 6h30 for train, and cost is not a lot more expensive)

We are offered summer internships and micro-internships for Christmas and Easter holidays. We can also schedule 1-1 chats for help or feedback on our CV or to discuss career options. There are daily scheduled talks on different career paths which are good to attend.

Academic
Course recommendations
We were on a self-contained course, so didn't interact with others, outside of our research project (which included an interview project). This year I am going back with a different school, to a different Oxford college, and looking ford to seeing the differences, as the programs on set up differently. One of the pluses for this was that our professor arranged an "insider's tour" of the BBC radio.

Personal comments
I liked the readings, journal writings, interactive discussions, graduate project and field trips. It was not too taxing for a summer course, yet I learned alot, and luckily didn't need computer access.

i do recommend the university of oxford, but not every field of study. theology for example was only so - so, while medicine must be great, etc.

if you like studying for yourself, eating books, then you are going to like oxford. if you are used to good food, nice weather and mountains think twice about it. if you have time to travel, make sure to visit scottland and wales, england is rather unexciting, except culture. therefore: see one of shakespeare's plays at stratford, stay at the castle in durham and visit london as often as you can!

Four fantastic years
Lucasta B
Belgium, Undergraduate

Overall
The course offers a good degree of flexibility, with some compulsory modules in translation and composition. The teaching quality is excellent and the campus facilities are good, if quite old-fashioned.
The major downside is the Year Abroad, where students are given very little meaningful help and support and essentially left to fend for themselves for a year. Unlike other universities, Erasmus exchanges are not really encouraged, even though this would have been a good option for many students.
