The University of Sheffield gave me the best 10 months of my life...I learned so much and I grew so much...it's normal being afraid at first but in 2 week's time you'll find that you'd like to stay there forever...

A very useful course learned in the university
Lian J
United Kingdom, Graduate
Industrial Relations and Personnel Management, 2019
Overall
I would like to review something about the professional development course. In this course, the teacher taught us many professional and detailed skills of interviewing and manging. During this module, there were also many mocked interviews and conflicts which made students understand the significant skills such as time mangment and dealing with different kinds of emergencies.

Marvellous Learning Experience
Gregor J
Belgium, Undergraduate
, 2019
Overall
Coming away from home is usually a daunting though necessary experience. Sheffield, however, very quickly becomes a home away from home. Extracurricularly excellent facilities complement a world class academic environment to create a wonderful place to learn and grow, not only as a student but as a person as well.

Materials Science, 1999
Overall
It was wonderfully refreshing and I found the lecturers very helpful and student-oriented. They were very keen to make sure their students understood the subjects and did well.

There was a very multi-national vibe to the place and you never felt isolated. The students were warm and very friendly.

Don't bring too much. There's a sort of 99cents store for linens and things.

If you like a medium sized green-leafed town relaxed feeling. Not for those looking for a very urban experience. I loved Sheffield. No tourists and very homely.
