Housing
Type of housing: Apartment/House
Arranged by: Home university
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why?
cause it's more fun, but closer to the center, it's not fun taking the tram (or bus) out to glenelg all the time!

I wish I had known...
It is colder there than I thought. And there is a lot of rain during winter.

Personal recommendation
There is lots of Asian people studying. You won´t meet too much Australians during classes. Do the four or three classes you need but don´t do only business (pretty tough).

As most of the social life took place in the community of exchange students, I didn't improve as much as I had expected.

Studying abroad
RICHARD N
France, Undergraduate
Engineering, Civil, 2017
Overall
I was travelling abroad and decided to spend some of my spare time studying. It was a great way to continue progressing my education whilst exploring Europe.

I was only completing one subject at a time and with 4 semesters throughout the year I was able to get through the same amount of study as if I was studying part-time.

Pros
Studying one subject at a time.
Cons
Exams locations and on campus requires were tricky to arrange at times.

Housing
Type of housing: Apartment/House
Arranged by: Independently - My choice
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why?
It was a wonderful experience. I lived with two others, one French, one Chinese. I found the townhouse two weeks after arriving, up until living in a backpackers/hostel. My living arrangement could not have been better!

There is no housing through the university. All students find housing independently depending on how close they would like to live to their campus.

My native language is English and Australia is as well. I did not face a language barrier, but I made many many European friends who I helped with their English and they taught me a bit of all their languages. The challenges of this experience were not lingual, they were related to personal growth, developing my character, doing it alone without a set program.
