At home I stay with my mother, so i don't pay for housing. Concerning nightlife, I spent more because I went out more. Drinks were actually even a bit cheaper than in Vienna.
Travelling: I travelled for 2 and a half months after the semester, that's why I spent a lot.

Travel as much as your budget allows you during the vacations and after the semester!
Accomodation: Living by the sea is really nice,but you have to take into account that it takes you longer to get to uni (in my case 50 min)and that it's more expensive.
