Personal comments
Before coming here i thought my room in the university accommodation is big(as seen in the photograph of university brochure). But the rooms here are so small i feel like living in a prison. At the same time i feel my university is charging us more than other universities with the same facilities. But the good thing here is we have a phone in every bedroom and is free to use in the campus network as well as a high sped internet connection which is also free to use from my bedroom.

I found my student union a nice place to hang over and at the same time there are good night spots like Trash,Cube which i find interesting here.Glasgow has number of places which should not be missed like Kelvingrove park,Glasgow Science Museum, number of old galleries and most importantly the beautiful countryside.

If anyone want to travel, travel by bus (National Express www.gobycoach.com)which is cheap and keep an eye on their student offers(like£10 return anywhere in the UK).Do bookings early otherwise prices will shoot up for the last minute bookings. If u want to travel by plane have a look at www.easyjet.com, www.ryanair.com whose prices are unbelievable

Academic
Course recommendations
I like the courses to be more interactive with students rather than leaving everything for the students to study

Personal comments
The university should also provide for international students like me to offer more than formal advice for our future careers and particularly i found that most british Universities are unable to offer any form of career help to international students coming outside the European Union.Eventhough i like the course and my academic life here i am ending up with no career help(This is the only thing any student particularly international student can expect from a foriegn university).

Personal comments
Initially i thought that i know english well as it was my language of instruction throughout my academic life. But after coming here i am not able to understand this local scottish accent and it has taken sometime for me to adjust. Now i am pretty confident that i can understand any english accent as i am able to understand different international students english accent.I feel studying at a foriegn university has gave me this opportunity and in addition to this my presentation skills has improved a lot and i no longer need to fear if someone ask me to give a presentation.I am able to come over from my fear and i feel more confident now.

Personal spending habits
I spend more on telephone as i need to talk home very often as this is the first time i am coming out from home.Accommodation is any way very expensive and i should not compare it to my home country India prices.I also spend much on travelling as i always like travelling and in addition i found this Scottish countryside amazing.

Don't do shopping in small ones.Do only in big stores in particular in the discount stores like LIDL,ASDA.Try to prepare your own food as outside food is very expensive.
