my room was tiny, poorly furnished (used furniture), horrible sanitary facilities, and the walls were so thin you could hear every word from your neighbour. The windows were not airtight so it was freezing cold in the winter time. I lived together with 12 students on my floor who had to share one fridge and one shower...

When we used to go clubbing, we usually went to the "Canal Club" or the "Light Bar", which was great fun as we were usually up to ten people. For a rather "quiet" night out, i would recommend bars or pubs, such as "The moon under water" or traditional English pubs.
