Definitely my language skills have improved. I was also exposed to the local dialects of the Midlands area. The "Brum" - the local dialect of the people who live in Birmingham and the always-laughed-at dialect in Wolverhampton - it was interesting overall.

I think it's good to open an account in england -it takes an effort, but then you can have a cash card and it will save you a lot of money (withdrawing cash from your home country is very expensive)

convenient food is cheaper than cooking for yourself but unhealthy on the long run. try to cook in a large group together so you can save money. vegetables and fruits are very expensive not to mention eating out.

My room was really small and not very friendly. Fortunately I had my own bathroom and I only had to share the kitchen with my 5 neighbours. But consequently the kitchen became a place of social meetings.
