Great for international study program but limited in international career
Sumathi R
Belgium, Graduate
Business Studies, 2018
Overall
VBS is a good school with comparable study program for core modules. It has a good mix of international students making it much more interesting. Due to its small sized class teachers are focused and academic feedback is quick. Most of the teachers are are very friendly, approachable and helpful (except for few odd ones). Very fast paced classes

The key standout are the international trips. But it can burn your pocket if you don't plan your finances before hand because all of these costs are additional to the program fee. Entire MBA schedule was badly planned leaving absolutely no flexibility for personal life or extra curricular activities.

Pros
Scholarships and international trips (extra cost)
Cons
The school does not have a strong associations with companies and alumni, in-spite of how its advertised. Getting a job for internationals who do not speak French or Dutch is next to impossible and highly challenging. Not much extra curricular activities.

A taste of everything in Management
Shreya V
Belgium, Graduate
Management Science, 2020
Overall
Currently, pursuing a Masters in Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Vlerick Business School on the Leuven campus, I was able to get a taste of not just the management principles but also understand a scientific method to develop and build a start-up. Vlerick's approach is based on action learning and working in teams as well as developing leadership capabilities.

Academic
Course recommendations
The school is only in its third year of English as teaching medium - consequently the quality of many lectures are influenced negatively. They are working on it though.

Personal comments
We were a very large group (65 students) with limited space available. At times writing examinations proved to be very difficult as everywhere you look, you look at someone else's paper. They are trying to limit the student numbers for the future.

Personal comments
I was the Public Relations Praeses (representative) for the PUB group and was responsible for all communication to the external community as well as within the group. Sponsorship meetings mostly took place in Dutch, with myself replying in Afrikaans - no problems - except for them laughing every now and then at the double negation :)
